In short
TikInfo sets two cookies, and only after you sign in or the site needs to protect a form. Both are required for the service to work. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or cookies that follow you across other websites.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. We also store one choice in your browser’s local storage, which is not a cookie but is listed here so you can find it.
Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
| tikinfo_session | Keeps you signed in. It holds a random token, not your password. HttpOnly, so page scripts cannot read it. | 12 hours, or 30 days if you choose “Remember me”. |
| tikinfo_csrf | Stops another website from submitting actions on your behalf. The page must send the same value back. | Same lifetime as the session. |
Both cookies are first-party, SameSite=Lax, and marked Secure on https://tikinfo.com. The legal basis is that they are strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for (ePrivacy Directive art. 5(3); GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
The cookie notice stores tikinfo_cookie_ok in local storage so we do not show the notice again. It contains no identifier.
Other parties
Cloudflare sits in front of tikinfo.com to protect the site. It may set its own cookies, including a security cookie, under its terms. The contact form loads Cloudflare Turnstile, which may store a cookie to tell a person from a script.
Stripe’s checkout and customer portal run on Stripe’s own website and use Stripe’s cookies. They are not set on tikinfo.com.
We do not load Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or social plugins.
Your choice
You can block cookies in your browser. If you block the two cookies above, you cannot stay signed in. Deleting them signs you out.
